Sam catches Diego trying to break into Sonny's and pulls a gun on him.
At the same time, Jason comes off the elevator with Brook Lynn and they all go inside Jason's. Jason demands to know why they
were trying to break in and Diego explains that his sister Maria told him she is afraid of a powerful man in Port Charles
and that this man had something to do with his father's death and Diego believes this man is Sonny. Jason sighs and says this
needs to stop and dials a number which results in Courtney showing up wanting an explaination as well. After seeing Diego's
urgency to know the truth, Courtney asks Jason if he will look into it and he says he will. Jason takes Diego and Brook back
downstairs and as Sam is putting Jason's gun away Courtney comments that she has more in common with Jason than she did.
Sam, thinking Courtney is talking about how close they've gotten, say that losing the baby has brought them together and that
Jason has been great. Courtney says she meant Jason's lifestyle. Courtney names of the reasons she left Jason and is amazed
that the violence in Jason's everyday life doesn't bother Sam. Jason comes in and Courtney says she needs to get the kids
home and Sam says she needs to start dinner anyway. Jason, shocked and a little scared looking, asks what she meant and Sam
asks if he has a problem with that to which he answers no. Jason shows Courtney out and as he sits down to relax he hears
dishes crashing in the kitchen and Sam cry out "No"! Jason is about to check on her when she comes out of the kitchen soaken
wet. Jason asks what happened with a smirk on his face and Sam explains that she put the bread under the broiler and it caught
on fire so she sprayed that "thingy" (fire extinguisher) and ended up getting it all over her. Jason says it's not too late
to order something and Sam says there is no time that she needs to change.
Jason helps Sam with her sweater when it gets stuck. Caught in the moment
Jason pulls her into a kiss. Both Jason and Sma are surprised and Jason starts shutting Sam out by telling her
how that should've never happened because they can't be together. When Sam asks why not, Jason explains that his work prevents
him from being close to anyone. Sam tries to assure Jason that his work is not a problem for her but Jason tells her it will
be. Sooner or later, no matter how much he tries to protect her, she will see him working and from that day on, she will be
afraid of him. Sam says that's not how it would be but Jason believes otherwise. Jason suggests that Sam move out of the apartment
and Sam, hurt, saying she will leave immediatly. Sam packs her things and walks to the elevator but Jason stops her. Sam asks
if there is something else he wants to tell her and Jason asks her to stay. Sam explains that she doesn't want to stay as
his "friend or roommate" , that she wants more. Jason says he can't give her more and Sam leaves.
